Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained active.

Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no specific stipulations on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
